This course is designed for anyone looking to start a new career, expand their existing PMU/tattoo services, or further their skills in skin camouflage.

This training is an intensive 3 day course that goes over scar theory, color theory, pigment mixing, camouflage procedure, and includes one LIVE hands-on model..

What’s included in this training?

• Beginner Pigment Kit: Skin tone inks that you will learn to mix and create any skin tone formula, pigment mixer, needles, practice skin, disposable sharps container, and certificate of completion.

• Student Handbook: In-depth handbook including all the information about skin tone, skin type, advanced color theory basic stretch mark and scar education, how to prepare and set up for camouflage procedures, tattooing techniques, marketing information, picture editing, and best practice tips.

• After care cards and consent forms.

• Live Model: Hands on practice with a live model provided by Vidal Ink

Course overview:

Safety, anatomy, biology of healing and contraindications : You will learn how to safely perform camouflage procedures and prevent cross contamination, learn the anatomy of the skin and what happens when you tattoo, as well as the healing process both inside and out. You will also learn proper before & after care and how to identify any contraindications to the skin camouflage procedure.

Scar theory: You will learn the different types of scars, scar textures and scar colors. What scars can be camouflaged and how tattooing improves scar texture.

Color theory: You will learn how to identify your clients shade and practice creating the right shade for each client and each scar, how to properly use dilute and review the makeup of each ink we use.

Technique: In depth practice of all the techniques we use in skin camouflage as well as when to use each one. Practice on EVA paper before practicing on skin. You will learn what needles to use and tips and tricks I have picked up along the way.

Business tips: Learn how to choose the right clients, how to do consultations, and how to turn down the wrong clients. Also learn about the client experience, build clientele, and how to take and edit before and after pictures. Finally we will go over LLC formation, pricing your services, and clients forms.

Classes are priced at $2500. All classes require a $500 non-refundable deposit that is applied to your total balance. Classes must be paid in full before the first day of class. Please contact us for deposit and class information.
